Job summary

Engtal is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for its Chicago-area operations. You will own commercial construction projects from inception through closeout, guiding budgets, timelines, contracts, procurement, and team performance.

You will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and field staff, oversee RFIs and submittals, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the lifecycle of each project. Leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a general contractor.
• Ability to independently manage projects from start to finish.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and construction operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing large-scale and complex projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and financial performance.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Work closely with Superintendents to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Manage and mentor Project Managers, APMs, and Project Engineers.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
