Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large heavy civil projects in the Houston area, overseeing preconstruction through closeout and coordinating with owners, DOT engineers, and field teams.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while driving profitability. A DOT-focused background and PMP/ CCM or PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience managing large-scale heavy civil or highway construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience with DOT or federally funded infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of DOT specifications, contracts, and construction methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage large project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for large heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage multiple projects or programs, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Oversee project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and final profitability.
• Lead contract administration, change management, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
