Job summary

SIRIS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support an expansion project with the Smithsonian Institute at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The role focuses on CPM scheduling, coordination among GC, subcontractors, and consultants, and ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating access to building systems, and providing contract administration along with client-facing support.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years’ experience with GC or Construction Management firm.
• Involved with coordinating and managing the installation on at least one large Federal project (over $40 million) is preferred.
• Ability to assist with answering RFI and reviewing change order scope documents.
• Great communication skills required and ability to work in a group environment.
• Computer literate. Experience with Blue Beam and Procore a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage CPM schedules for the multi-discipline construction project.
• Inform the COTR on construction progress and identify potential schedule delays.
• Responds to logistic inquiries and resolves scheduling problems.
• Monitor construction activities of the general contractor, sub-contractors and consultants and report findings.
• Coordinate access to existing building systems and coordinate shutdowns with OFMR.
• Ensure contract specs and plans are implemented in compliance with codes and standards.
• Review statements of work for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide contract administration services (submittals, RFIs, VE proposals, correspondence).
• Support SI customers via phone, email and in person.
