Job summary

PRIME Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the execution of increasingly complex electrical construction projects. You will plan, direct, and control project activities to ensure customer satisfaction and favorable financial outcomes, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management from initiation to closure, SOV and invoicing oversight, and close coordination with field leadership to maintain progress and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, with seven to ten years electrical project management experience or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in electrical estimating, including preparing and presenting change orders and evaluating estimates.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software packages; familiarity with Accubid Estimating systems preferred.
• Knowledge of integrated job cost systems, budgeting, report evaluations, and final costing.
• Ability to build critical path schedules and understand construction sequencing across disciplines.
• Experience with design-build delivery models is highly preferred.
• Ability to evaluate final cost at completion and negotiate change orders with customers.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing people and teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
• Ability to coordinate with senior management and cross-functional departments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on work procurement and identify new project opportunities.
• Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure with safety, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Oversee project financial activities (SOV preparation, invoicing, collections) and define scope, goals, and timelines.
• Communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders and mediate as needed.
• Proactively resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage scope via change orders and obtain approvals.
• Work closely with field leadership to align on goals.
• Lead, coach, and motivate project team members for high performance.
• Adhere to PRIME Safety Program and promote a safe site always.
• Maintain a physical presence onsite and visit jobsites regularly.
