Job summary

Symmetry Software is seeking an experienced product manager to own the development of new payroll tax business lines. This 0 to 1 role will lead discovery, strategy, and execution for AI-powered solutions, delivering durable revenue growth and retention.

You will work with a new product development engineering team to accelerate market success, focusing on enabling teams with clear direction and ownership in a high-impact, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on product management experience, with 3+ years building 0 to 1 products.
• Deep product discovery skills in ambiguous environments.
• Experience building 0 to 1 products in highly regulated categories.
• Experience building personalized products or optimized workflows using Gen AI/ ML.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
• Ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and define roadmaps.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with customer-centric focus.
• Built products at scale with strong UX.
• Bonus: payroll/payroll tax domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Ownership: lead long-term strategy, customer/market positioning, and investments guiding product decisions.
• North Star: identify high-leverage bets to unlock long-term success and market-winning payroll tax offerings.
• Collaborate: partner across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, CX, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
• Accelerate Execution: drive clarity, momentum, and delivery by embedding with teams and shaping requirements.
