Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking an experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join the Buildings team in Denver. Lead design and delivery of plumbing and fire protection systems across commercial, healthcare, higher education, and government projects.

Provide technical leadership from concept through construction, coordinating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders. The role requires 8+ years of experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; PE preferred or eligible for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or able to obtain via reciprocity for lead design roles.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive plumbing and fire protection design experience in relevant facilities.
• Demonstrated experience designing domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, natural gas, and compressed air systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; hydraulic calculations and system modeling experience; knowledge of related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of plumbing and fire protection projects from concept to construction.
• Design and oversee building systems including domestic water, sanitary/storm drainage, gas distribution, compressed air, and fire suppression systems.
• Prepare construction documents, specs, reports, and cost estimates; perform field investigations and support construction activities.
• Serve as primary technical resource for plumbing and fire protection; coordinate with architects, structural, M/E engineers, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing.
