Job summary

STV Buildings is seeking an experienced Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer to lead the design and delivery of plumbing and fire protection systems for a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects.

The successful candidate provides technical leadership from concept through construction, with 8+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and preferred credentials such as PE, CPD, NICET, and LEED AP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
8+ years of progressive plumbing and fire protection design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience with hydraulic calculations and system modeling.
Knowledge of plumbing, fire, mechanical, and building codes.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and execution of plumbing and fire protection projects from concept through construction.
Design and oversee building systems including domestic water, drainage, gas, and fire suppression.
Perform hydraulic analyses, system sizing, and code compliance reviews.
Prepare specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with architects and engineers and support client meetings.
Provide mentoring to junior staff and support project managers.
Stay current with industry codes and sustainability initiatives.
