Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is expanding its plumbing engineering group in Northern California and seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead diverse projects across healthcare, commercial, multifamily, and educational buildings.

The Senior Plumbing Engineer will manage design, calculations, and coordination from schematic through construction, mentor junior staff, and contribute to QA/QC and BD efforts. Hybrid work with two in-office days weekly in SF or Sacramento.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
• Valid PE license.
• Proficient in Revit (BIM).
• Strong plumbing design experience (commercial, healthcare, process, multifamily, and/or manufacturing).
• Clear communicator, organized, solution-oriented, able to work independently.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of Glumac’s Sacramento or San Francisco offices.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing designs and prepare construction documents.
• Perform plumbing calculations including fixture counts, booster pump head, ejector pump head, domestic hot water loads, storm water, condensate collection, fuel oil venting, etc.
