S L King & Associates Inc in Atlanta seeks an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead design, specification, and delivery of plumbing and piping systems for commercial, institutional, industrial projects. This role requires strong knowledge of IPC, UPC, ASPE and local codes, plus proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for accurate drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of plumbing design experience.
• Strong knowledge of International Plumbing Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, ASPE standards, and local codes.
• Experience designing domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, vent, fuel gas, and specialty piping systems.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and pipe sizing tools.
• Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.

Responsabilités

• Lead plumbing design across all project phases from concept to construction documents.
• Design domestic hot/cold water, sanitary, storm drainage, and vent systems.
• Design fuel gas, medical gas, compressed air, and specialty piping systems as required.
• Size piping, pumps, water heaters, booster systems, and storm systems.
• Perform fixture unit calculations, flow calculations, and related analyses.
• Develop water conservation, reuse, and rainwater harvesting strategies.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, calculations, and codes compliance.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, electrical, and fire protection teams.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration.
• Participate in site visits, testing, commissioning, disinfection, and field observation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and review their work quality.
• Support proposals, fee estimates, project planning, and client communication.
