Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent with substantial experience.
• 10 years of practical design experience or equivalent.
• Five years of experience with large scope projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates initial project setup with the architect to ensure the team has the current model.
• Prepares electronic drawings with accuracy, neatness, and efficiency using industry software.
• Develops design approaches and concepts in coordination with the project engineer.
• Implements design requirements as set by the design team.
• Performs system design layout and sizing for assigned projects.
• Assists in studies, load calculations, and equipment selection to fit the design.
• Leads the design team in coordination with owners, architects, and other disciplines.
• Reviews shop drawings, records changes, and keeps teams informed of details and schedules.
• Attends project update meetings with clients and team members.
• Maintains detailed records of communications with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members.
• May supervise in data collection and field verification and coordinate with construction administrators.
