Job summary

Stantec in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer to join the Northeast MEP team. You will design a broad range of plumbing systems from concept to construction documents, using Revit and AutoCAD, while collaborating with project managers and clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of plumbing design experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience designing plumbing systems.
• Certified Plumbing Design (CPD) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, size, select, schedule, and specify plumbing system components and equipment.
• Develop conceptual design options and produce final construction documents.
• Produce plumbing design documents from schematic to construction documents using Revit.
• Organize project requirements with minimal direction.
• Ensure compliance with codes and company design standards.
• Review shop drawing submittals and RFIs; provide responses.
• Perform site observations to verify design intent.
