Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings group in the US Northeast seeks a Senior Plumbing Designer to lead complex plumbing systems design from concept to construction documents across multiple offices, including Washington DC. You will mentor Designers and Interns, and collaborate with MEP teams to deliver robust plumbing solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 10+ years of plumbing design, and a PE or CPD is preferred; strong knowledge of local codes and Revit is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 10 years of plumbing design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or CPD preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and local market requirements.
• Proficient in Revit and related design software.
• Ability to mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Design sanitary, vent, storm, and water distribution systems from concept through construction documents.
• Produce plumbing and fire sprinkler drawings using Revit.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and perform site observations.
• Coordinate with the project design team and clients; meet deadlines.
