Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to join the US Northeast Buildings team. The role focuses on designing complex plumbing and fire protection systems from concept through construction documents, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with the MEP team across multiple offices.

The candidate should have a strong background in plumbing design, Revit proficiency, and knowledge of local codes, with PE or CPD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or a minimum of 10 years of plumbing design experience.
• PE and/or CPD credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design sanitary, vent, storm, domestic water distribution systems, purified water, medical gas and laboratory gas systems.
• Produce plumbing and fire sprinkler design documents using Revit and other relevant design software.
• Work independently with minimal direction and perform specialized designs.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulatory requirements.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs and participate in site observations to verify installations.
