Job Summary:

The Senior Plumbing Designer will provide plumbing design services to support production of construction drawings and specifications for our clients. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, Federal, industrial, municipal, and commercial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design plumbing systems including medical/laboratory piping and gases.
• Develop systems design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines.
• Work on site surveys to determine and document existing conditions.
• Provide support for construction administration services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in plumbing design including waste and vent systems, supply systems, roof drain calculations and design, equipment and fixture selection, Shop drawing review, assessment of existing systems and facilities, and field observation and reporting.
• Familiarity with the International Plumbing Code and NFPA 13.
• LEED certification/experience is a plus, CPD is preferred.
• Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred, ASSE 6060 certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
