Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineering Designer to join the MEP/FP team in Coral Gables, FL. This role leads mechanical engineering projects, directs technical work, and provides mentorship across disciplines.

You will design plumbing systems, coordinate with architects and other engineers, perform QA/QC reviews, and ensure compliance with IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA and Florida codes while leveraging Revit and BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of plumbing engineering and design experience.
• Knowledge of IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA and Florida codes.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM-based design.
• Experience with LEED and water conservation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing design for complex projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Develop models, plans, details, and drawings for plumbing systems.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of designs, BIM models, calculations, and deliverables.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to plumbing engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, consultants, contractors, and client teams.
• Track project progress, scope, and schedule.
