Job summary

Woolpert in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineering Designer to lead and execute advanced plumbing systems design on large-scale projects. You will direct technical work for the MEP/FP team, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure code compliance and BIM delivery.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, deep knowledge of IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA and Florida codes, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years of plumbing engineering and design experience.
• Knowledge of IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA and Florida codes.
• Experience with LEED and sustainable design practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release plumbing systems per codes and BIM requirements.
• Lead plumbing design for complex projects from schematic through construction.
• Coordinate with disciplines, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of designs, BIM models, and calculations.
• Develop plumbing design standards and best practices.
• Mentor plumbing engineers and designers; track progress and milestones.
