Job summary
Surveying Solutions,INC in Birmingham, Alabama seeks an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to lead field-to-deliverables across commercial and residential projects. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a practical, hands-on environment where you mentor field crews and coordinate with engineers, developers and owners to ensure accurate, compliant surveys.
Active Alabama PLS license or eligibility is required; familiarity with ALTA/NSPS, site plans, and modern surveying tools is
Qualifications
- Active Alabama PLS license or eligible for reactivation.
- Experience with construction/site surveying.
- Experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys, as-builts, site plans.
- Ability to review field data, calculations, plats and deliverables.
- Working knowledge of surveying software and CAD tools.
- Ability to manage projects and lead field crews with contractors, engineers, and owners.
- Strong understanding of Alabama surveying standards and professional requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee survey work from field crews through final deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineers, developers, and property owners.
- Lead and mentor field staff safely and efficiently.
- Review and approve calculations, plats, and survey deliverables.
