Job summary

KLJ is seeking a seasoned Professional Land Surveyor to lead survey operations, providing technical oversight for capturing, modeling, and interpreting spatial data to guide engineering decisions. The role includes field supervision, boundary and topographic surveys, and ensuring compliance across multi-site projects.

Your expertise will drive survey excellence, coordinate with clients and project teams, and uphold KLJ's standards for accurate, actionable spatial information in infrastructure

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surveying, GIS or related field.
• 5–7 years of post-education surveying experience.
• Professional Survey Licensure required.
• Experience with public and private sector work (state/city/county/utility districts).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, conduct, and review surveys and reports from field teams and records for project research.
• Research legal and survey records to determine property boundaries and rights.
• Process field notes, sketches, and digital data for project teams and GIS staff.
• Produce Records of Surveys, Plats, and easement exhibits for project completion.
• Oversee QA/QC standards for survey measurements and data.
