Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Senior Developer for PLM who will design, build, and support cloud-based PLM, Formulation, and Regulatory applications. You will operate with moderate guidance, ensure code quality, and mentor junior developers while aligning with COE standards.

This hybrid role requires ongoing collaboration with internal customers and occasional travel; you will contribute to modernization through automation and AI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience as a developer with a STEM degree or equivalent training.
• Experience delivering software in cloud/SaaS environments across the full SDLC.
• Ability to work independently within formal project frameworks (Agile/Waterfall/DevOps).
• Broad knowledge of development languages with depth in Java or .NET.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support PLM software applications and integrations under moderate guidance.
• Contribute to work plans and estimates and align with architectural principles.
• Author design specs for moderately complex PLM solutions.
• Follow development standards, promote code, and mentor junior resources.
• Participate in integration, performance, and load testing; explore automation and AI opportunities.
• Assist in mock cutover exercises to minimize live disruption.
