Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Senior Developer to join the PLM team in Orrville, OH, delivering PLM, Formulation, and Regulatory apps in a hybrid model. This role engages with internal customers to drive end-to-end solutions within the COE framework.

Under moderate guidance, you will design, develop, and support cloud-based PLM solutions, mentor junior developers, and ensure alignment with architectural standards and release processes. A collaborative, problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a developer with a STEM degree or equivalent cloud development training.
• Experience delivering cloud/SaaS solutions across SDLC and multiple technologies.
• Ability to work independently within Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Java or .NET and integration/orchestration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support PLM software applications and integrations.
• Contribute to work plans and estimates for technical activities.
• Write technical design specifications for moderately complex PLM solutions.
• Follow standards for development, code promotion, and change management; mentor juniors.
• Participate in testing, automation opportunities, and mock cutovers when needed.
