Job summary

Williams is seeking a Technical Specialist III to ensure system integrity and compliance across pipeline operations. This role requires PLC, HMI, and SCADA expertise, plus heavy use of Allen-Bradley hardware and data collaboration across teams.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s in engineering and 7+ years of field operations experience. Travel between Williams locations and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years in oil & gas industry.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 7+ years of progressive field ops/technical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and pipeline operations support
• Participates in project planning and collaborates with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data
• Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements
• Adheres to all policies and procedures
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Application, PC skills and experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Allen Bradley and SCADA solutions
• Provides Tier 2 Support for training, troubleshooting, commissioning, archiving and programming across the Princeton Division
• Proficiency in Modbus, Network Topology(including Fiber), HMI experience to include PanelView, Redlion, Nematron
• Experience with Allen-Bradley from PLC5 to Studio 5000 in addition to AB hardware, including legacy
• Reads, interprets and troubleshoots legacy relay logic
• Other duties as assigned
