Job summary

HF Sinclair Midstream seeks a SCADA Programming Technician to design, program and maintain PLCs and field HMIs for pipeline and terminal operations. The role covers network setup, field testing and providing top-tier support to operators, with potential leadership duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of direct SCADA experience, an associate degree in CS/IT/engineering (bachelor’s preferred), and strong knowledge of Wonderware, ClearSCADA, and GE/Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of on-the-job SCADA experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; an Associate’s with relevant experience also acceptable.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and field networking essential.

Responsibilities

• Develops and designs control systems for pipeline/terminal control
• Programs PLCs for Windows-based software
• Maintains and programs PLCs and field HMIs
• Sets up network structures for field communication
• Conducts communication testing for field sites
• Provides top-tier support to operators and field personnel
• Documents field site network configuration and requirements
• Relocates technical equipment as needed
• Collaborates with I&E and 3rd parties on SCADA
• Troubleshoots field issues with operations teams
