Job summary

People Consultancy Services (PCS) seeks a seasoned Controls Programmer in Pawcatuck, CT to provide controls programming and commissioning support for custom industrial machinery, including new machine development, customer orders, retrofits, and field service projects.

You will develop and modify PLC, HMI, and motion control programs; configure VFDs and servo drives; troubleshoot networks and safety systems; and create documentation, I/O lists, and revision records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industrial controls programming experience.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• HMI development and operator interface design.
• Experience with machine automation, motion control, and safety systems.
• Industrial networking including Ethernet/IP and Profinet.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and motion control programs.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, industrial networks, and safety systems.
• Create and maintain controls documentation, I/O lists, and software revision records.
• Support machine startup, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and troubleshoot controls issues.
