Jobot is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Middletown, NY. You will design, implement, test and optimize control systems, focusing on PLC and HMI programming, industrial networks (ControlNet/DeviceNet), and SCADA familiarity.

Bring 5+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, and a passion for automation, safety standards, and continuous improvement to our multinational food and beverage client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
• PLC or HMI programming experience
• Proficiency working with industrial communication networks such as ControlNet, DeviceNet
• Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware or Ignition
• Strong understanding of automation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test control systems using PLC Programming.
• Analyze system requirements and propose innovative solutions for control systems.
• Develop and implement software for automation processes.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and implement control systems for our clients.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
• Provide technical support and training to end‑users.
• Maintain documentation of control systems and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems and automation technology.
• Evaluate and improve existing control systems for increased efficiency and performance.
