Job summary

AP Emission Technologies in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a qualified PLC Technician to maintain and troubleshoot automated systems. You will read PLC logic, support startup activities, and collaborate with engineering and OEM partners to ensure reliable operation of a highly automated production line.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
Minimum 5+ years in maintenance with PLC-controlled systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC-based automation systems.
Support startup and commissioning of the new automation area with engineering/OEM partners.
Read and interpret PLC logic, wiring diagrams, and control schematics to diagnose issues.
Implement control logic modifications, calibrate sensors, and adjust parameters.
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reduce downtime.
Provide technical support for automated machinery including robotics and safety systems.
Document PLC programs, maintenance procedures, and equipment configurations.
Participate in RCA, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Train junior technicians and production staff on automation troubleshooting and safe practices.
