Job summary
Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking a Specialist Control Technician to manage PLC and automation system troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the facility. The technician will also assist with installation, implementation, and troubleshooting of newly designed automation systems, while managing work orders and collaborating with other departments for timely completion.

Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems.
- Practical experience with 480V/208V electrical systems.
- Experience using CMMS for work orders and PMs.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs, motors and pumps.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete assigned work orders using the CMMS.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical control panels and automation equipment.
- Coordinate tasks with assistant technicians and other departments.
- Plan and complete automation and maintenance projects within deadlines.
- Respond to operational requests via various communication channels.
- Monitor and optimize automation equipment for reliability and uptime.
- Identify and resolve alarms and faults quickly to minimize downtime.
- Suggest and implement improvements to automation systems.
