Job summary

AP Emissions Technologies, part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician with PLC expertise to join our team and support a new automation process area. You’ll ensure reliable operation of automated systems by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on PLCs, sensors, actuators, drives, and control systems.

The role involves startup/commissioning assistance with engineering and OEM partners, PLC logic reviews, wiring diagram

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on maintenance technician experience with a strong focus on PLC-controlled systems.
Experience reading and interpreting PLC logic, wiring diagrams, and control schematics to diagnose and restore functionality.
PLC programming certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Experience with automated manufacturing environments including sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networking.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC-based automation systems.
Support startup and commissioning of the new automation process area with engineering and OEM vendors.
Read and interpret PLC logic, wiring diagrams, and control schematics to diagnose issues.
Implement and optimize control logic, calibrate sensors, and adjust parameters to meet production needs.
Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reduce downtime.
Provide technical support for robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and safety systems.
Document PLC programs, maintenance procedures, and equipment configurations.
Participate in RCA and continuous improvement activities.
Train junior technicians and production staff on automation troubleshooting and safety.
