Job summary
Amgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer – PLC to lead automation projects for PLC-based process systems and utility skid equipment at the FleX batch facility. You will drive safety-focused improvements, collaborate with site process engineering, and ensure proper network connectivity and system communication for centralized monitoring.
You will mentor the Automation Engineering team, support commissioning, IV/ACO activities, and manage day-to-day operational support for 24/7
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and relevant experience required.
- Experience with PLC and process control systems in biopharma is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and associated validation.
- Experience leading automation projects and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical automation projects for PLC-based processes and utilities.
- Develop and maintain specs, SOPs, and operating standards.
- Provide 24/7 on-site/onsite support and troubleshooting for manufacturing operations.
- Mentor and develop site automation capabilities and act as system owner for PLC systems.
