Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Senior Platforms Engineer in Houston, TX to drive a high-visibility digital transformation program. You will steward Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform ecosystems, influencing environment strategy, governance, and release management across enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant platforms engineer experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform environments.
• Experience with ALM, CI/CD, deployment automation and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize platform and system performance.
• Lead troubleshooting procedures and minimize downtime with structured processes.
• Design disaster recovery and backup strategies for platforms and systems.
• Analyze data to identify trends and prepare reports for improvement actions.
• Lead architecture and configuration of highly available, scalable solutions.
• Maintain knowledge base, provide training, and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate platform lifecycle: environment strategy, releases, change management, and readiness.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, and identity teams on security and compliance.
