Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in Houston, TX, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to drive a high-visibility digital transformation program that standardizes the maintenance lifecycle via a unified, data-driven platform.

You will design and build enterprise-scale solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure, enable intelligent workflows, and mentor engineers while advancing secure, scalable software practices across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, 5+ years of IT experience.
Experience designing and supporting solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, .NET, JSON, and related technologies used to extend Power Platform capabilities; strong knowledge of ALM/CI/CD and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

Leads efforts from end‑to‑end through delegation, review, and driving results.
Executes a defined software engineering roadmap and contributes to the organization’s strategy.
Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting in projects with moderate to high complexity.
Identifies and recommends improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in agile engineering.
Mentors less experienced team members and accelerates software engineering maturity.
