Job summary

Marathon Petroleum seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Houston to lead a digital transformation program. You will design and build enterprise-scale solutions on Power Platform and Azure, enabling intelligent workflows, real-time data capture, and seamless integrations.

You will mentor engineers, shape standards, and champion modern software practices across ALM, CI/CD, and DevSecOps. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and measurable improvements in maintenance and operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
5+ years of IT experience.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Experience with REST APIs, Azure services, and modern integration patterns.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, .NET, JSON, and related technologies.
Familiarity with ALM, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Leads end-to-end software initiatives, delivering medium to high complexity features.
Executes a software roadmap and contributes to engineering strategy.
Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting with limited supervision.
Identifies improvements to SDLC and Agile practices.
Designs and demos features to support automated testing and cross-functional collaboration.
Translates designs into design specifications and aligns with user requirements.
Ensures documentation and architecture standards are met, and supports enterprise integration.
