Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Senior Platforms Engineer to lead a digital transformation program, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform. You will drive environment governance, release management, security, and operational excellence to support enterprise automation and advanced analytics.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams to build scalable, resilient platforms and enable AI-assisted capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor1s Degree in Information Technology or related field; equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant platforms engineer experience.
• Experience administering, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform environments.
• Experience administering Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Field Service, or related workloads.
• Experience implementing platform security, RBAC, auditing, IAM, and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and RCA skills across enterprise apps and cloud.
• Experience supporting enterprise integrations using APIs, Azure services, messaging, and middleware.
• Experience with ALM/DevSecOps: source control, CI/CD, deployment automation, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize platform/system performance.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident management, and advanced system tuning.
• Design disaster recovery and backup plans; ensure high availability.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive continuous improvements.
• Lead platform lifecycle management: environment strategy, releases, change management.
• Create and maintain a knowledge base; mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and infra teams to ensure compliance and governance.
