The primary responsibilities for the Platform Architect will include but are not limited to:

1. Develops and drives end-to-end platform architecture by owning the architectural specification of the platform or board.
2. Translates requirements, key performance, and key experience indicators into platform architecture encompassing hardware, software, SoCs, and other components designed to support a variety of systems, solutions, and applications.
3. Drives technical readiness of prototype platform design, creates design specification, develops block diagrams and/or high-level designs, and specifies key components, as needed, to meet platform requirements including platform mechanical and thermal architecture.
4. Invents, conceptualizes, and specifies architectural features for next generation platforms and makes product technology and platform tradeoff decisions ensuring platforms conform to standards, specifications, and landing zones.
5. Provides experimental and proof-of-concept solutions for proposing design alternatives that meet performance, power, area, and timing constraints.
6. Reviews, challenges, and influences cross-functional roadmaps and technology targets.
7. Collaborates with other architects, design engineers, and validation engineers to improve the overall design of platform and overcome constraints.
8. Working with foundry is critical to be successful in this role.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or in a STEM related field of study.
2. 5+ years of experience at a leading-edge foundry or as a member of the process technology team at a leading IDM company or managing technology platforms at leading fabless companies.
3. 3+ years of experience in advanced GAA or FinFet i.e. (7nm, 5nm, 3nm, 2nm) in the foundry space or technology platforms management at a fabless company.
4. 2+ years of experience in DRM/DRC or PDK or design/layout or simulation in advance technology.
5. Experience with PPA or DTCO analysis across libraries, memory compilers and competitive benchmarking targeting for advance nodes.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or in a STEM related field of study.
2. Experience of the foundry advanced technology competitive landscape.
3. Experience in Logic Technology development and working with Foundries is a plus.
4. Experience with process, integration, 3DIC, product application requirements.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$161,230.00-$227,620.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role:

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
