Job summary

Axon is hiring for a Senior Platform Engineer to drive agentic coding workflows and automations across a Kubernetes-based platform. You’ll shape long-term architecture, standardize platform technologies, and design scalable lifecycle management for core infrastructure.

You will work with Axon teams to optimize datastore usage, guide application design patterns, and build a self-service platform delivering robust data storage options with best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience; platform automation tooling or developer experience tooling preferred.
• US citizen — able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access.

Responsibilities

• Drive agentic coding workflows and infrastructure as code practices across the platform.
• Lead long term architectural decisions and standardization for platform technologies.
• Design and build a Kubernetes-based platform for lifecycle management of core infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Axon teams to guide application design patterns related to platform services.
• Build and operate a self-service platform that vends datastore solutions with best-practice utilization.
• Partner with application teams to diagnose datastore performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
