Job summary

Harmonic Security in the United States is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to become the authority on our platform’s security architecture. You’ll write production code that hardens authentication, authorization, encryption, and multi-tenant isolation, and set security standards that other engineers follow.

This hands-on role demands deep experience building security controls in SaaS environments, threat modeling, and a track record of shipping secure, reliable code.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering with security focus.
• Proven track record designing platform-level security controls (OAuth/OIDC/SAML, encryption, secrets management, multi-tenant isolation).
• Strong threat modeling and secure-by-design principles.
• Ability to set technical standards and drive adoption among engineers.
• Experience with cloud security fundamentals (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• History of shipping production-grade security-focused code.

Responsibilities

• Take formal ownership of Harmonic’s platform security architecture and evolve authentication, authorization, encryption, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Write production code that hardens and extends security patterns in the core platform.
• Set and enforce security engineering standards across the wider engineering team.
• Manage your backlog of platform security improvements, independent of product roadmap.
• Run threat modeling and architecture reviews for major new systems and integrations.
• Partner with engineering leads to embed secure patterns at design time.
• Keep Harmonic’s security posture ahead of enterprise customer expectations.
• Stay current on threats related to AI agent security and multi-tenant SaaS.
