Job summary

Precisely is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to lead security tooling and enablement within Platform Engineering for our global SaaS environment. This role builds the platforms, automation, and guardrails that help engineering teams adopt security requirements in scalable ways across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE in production environments.
• Strong programming or scripting in Go, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Hands-on with security tooling across code scanning, dependency/OSS scanning, secret scanning, container security, policy enforcement.
• Experience with tooling such as GitHub Advanced Security, JFrog Xray, Prisma, Black Duck, Checkmarx, Dependabot, Renovate.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and secure software delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, cloud platforms, Git-based workflows, and IaC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead security tooling across application security, dependency and supply chain security, artifact and container security, cloud security posture, and policy-driven workflows.
• Design automation for vulnerability detection, patch planning, remediation tracking, and governed security workflows.
• Partner with Security and Engineering to translate policies into practical controls and developer-friendly workflows.
• Improve developer experience by reducing noise and speeding remediation without weakening controls.
• Drive security-focused initiatives and OKR efforts with clear execution plans.
• Support health and improvement of security tooling, including AI-assisted automation where appropriate.
• Collaborate with operational teams to securely adopt AI-enabled engineering tools and build controls around their use.
