Job summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Principal Application Support Engineer to lead the reliability, resilience, and operational excellence of its mission-critical platforms powering global capital markets. You will drive production stability through automation, observability, and proactive risk management.

Collaborating across Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Operations, you will champion platform resiliency, reduce complexity, and accelerate incident

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Application Support, Production Support, or Technology Operations.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or large-scale operational initiatives.
• Experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux, Windows, AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes, IBM MQ, and distributed application architectures.
• Observability platforms such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Knowledge of SQL/PLSQL, middleware, networking, and enterprise workflows.
• Experience driving automation through scripting and ITIL-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for reliability, availability, and production support of mission-critical applications.
• Lead major incident, problem, change, and production support processes.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Operations teams to improve resiliency and performance.
• Drive automation and self-healing initiatives to reduce toil and improve observability.
• Establish and monitor service reliability objectives and platform health metrics.
• Lead production readiness reviews, release management, and disaster recovery testing.
• Strengthen regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and control effectiveness.
• Mentor engineers and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor during critical production events and strategic initiatives.
