Job summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Senior Backstage Engineering leader to design and build an enterprise-grade Developer Portal and orchestration platform. You will drive self-service infrastructure, standardization, and platform maturity across the organization.

You will integrate Backstage with CI/CD, cloud, and security tooling, advance platform engineering practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to set standards and deliver reusable capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ten years+ of relevant experience with platform engineering
• Experience delivering production-ready platform capabilities with architecture, security, and operations teams
• Hands-on background with developer tooling, CI/CD, IaC, identity integration, API automation, and cloud-native platforms

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise Developer Portal using Backstage
• Build and maintain Backstage plugins, scaffolder templates and workflows
• Develop executable blueprint orchestration layer
• Integrate Backstage with CI/CD, infrastructure, and security tooling (Jenkins, Terraform, Vault, ArgoCD, GitHub/GitOps)
• Define and manage software catalog structures, ownership, taxonomy and metadata standards
• Enable self-service environment provisioning and developer experience improvements
• Implement RBAC, authentication, authorization with OAuth and SSO
• Drive API-first orchestration across platform services
• Collaborate with platform, cloud, infrastructure, application and security teams
• Establish best practices for platform engineering and developer portals
