Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Sr. Business Analyst (Sr. Customer Integrity & Threat Detection Analyst) to detect, disrupt, and investigate potential misuse of the service—including scams, fraud, and illicit activities.

You will safeguard privacy while applying enforcement measures and maintaining balanced actions. Responsibilities include identifying platform risks, developing detection strategies, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support legal and compliance obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
• 4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
• Develop technical detection and mitigation strategies
• React to investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods/activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams and deepen our relationships with them
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
