A leading security solutions company in San Mateo is looking for a Senior-Staff Software Engineer to develop and maintain its platform infrastructure for millions of connected devices. This onsite role emphasizes reliable and cost-efficient design, with opportunities for mentorship and leadership in engineering best practices. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and extensive experience in Python, Go, and various cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study.
• Experience and enthusiasm for learning about new infrastructure products, features, and strategies.
• Comfortable with working at the frontier of infrastructure and software development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead critical efforts related to scalability, reliability and efficiency.
• Influence the features and direction of our platform with your own ideas.
• Provide technical support for engineers on team.

Skills

Experience in Python

Experience in Go

Strong written and verbal communications

Experience with Terraform

Experience with Kubernetes

Experience with a service mesh such as Istio

Education
