Job summary

Hinge is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Engineering Enablement within Platform. This hands-on leadership role owns the team's strategy, roadmap and execution, delivering durable platform capabilities that boost developer velocity, quality, and reliability across the product lifecycle.

You will partner with product engineering and other platform teams to ensure adoption, measurable outcomes, and alignment with business goals while coaching and growing engineers across the team.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading engineering teams or equivalent senior technical leadership experience.
• Strong product instincts for internal platforms and measurable outcomes.
• Experience improving developer workflows, productivity, quality systems, or related platform capabilities.
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investment and quality.
• Strong people leadership including feedback, coaching and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering Enablement team's strategy and roadmap to improve velocity and quality.
• Own execution; set priorities, drive decisions to closure and deliver outcomes.
• Build and improve tools, workflows, and platform capabilities used by engineers.
• Treat internal platform work as a product; understand user needs and drive adoption.
• Advance AI-native bets: enable agents across the codebase and validation infrastructure.
• Set standards through architecture discussions and maintain technical credibility.
• Grow and manage engineers, providing coaching, performance management and development.
• Collaborate with Platform and product engineering leaders to coordinate work.
• Represent Engineering Enablement to the broader organization and clarify what it owns.
