Job summary

1KOMMA5° Bremen is seeking a Lead/Senior Technical Product Manager for Platform Engineering to shape internal platform products that help builders ship better software faster and with less friction.

You will partner with engineering across Developer Platform and Security to turn complex platform capabilities into developer-friendly products, including internal DX, cloud workflows, CI/CD, observability, security guardrails, Backstage, AI tooling, and agentic workflows.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or a similar role for technical products.
• Strong platform-as-product mindset, with experience building internal tools or developer platforms.
• Enough technical depth to reason about cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security, and software delivery trade-offs with engineers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex tech concepts for different audiences.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, outcome-oriented work style focused on solving real problems quickly.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Product Leadership: Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Platform Engineering products.
• Platform-As-Product: Treat internal capabilities as products using discovery, feedback, and adoption data.
• Stakeholder Management: Align engineers, PMs, leadership around platform direction.
• Impact Ownership: Define and track metrics like platform adoption, Change Lead Time, MTTR/MTTD, ROI.
• Internal Product Evangelism: Communicate complex products clearly to teams.
• Agentic Engineering Enablement: Shape tools and guardrails for safe AI-enabled software delivery.
• Prioritisation & Trade-Offs: Balance speed, reliability, security, simplicity, and maintainability.
