Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Bellevue, WA to lead platform-level software and AI/ML initiatives. You will guide multiple teams through the full SDLC, champion DevOps and cost-optimized cloud strategies, and mentor engineers while aligning work with strategic roadmaps.
The role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and drive architectural excellence in a dynamic retail technology environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and 5 years’ software engineering experience.
- 7 years’ software engineering experience.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Master’s degree with WCAG accessibility expertise preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems aligned with priorities and roadmaps.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks for scalable, secure development.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Manage cloud cost optimization and enhance automation, telemetry, and tooling.
- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and ensure code quality through testing and reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define priorities, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
- Foster continuous improvement by optimizing processes, tools, and products.
