Job summary

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems. This role oversees shared infrastructure and tooling, drives DevOps practices and cloud cost optimization, and guides architectural decisions across multiple teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area; 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
• Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure, and reusable development.
• Drive full software development lifecycle, promoting DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud cost optimization.
• Guide architectural reviews and system design decisions to ensure maintainability, extensibility, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and managers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to define priorities, unblock progress, and align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Establish and track operational and engineering metrics to assess platform success and guide enhancements.
