Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager of Platform Engineering / DevOps to lead enterprise-scale cloud platform delivery. You will own the roadmap, drive GCP-based capabilities (GKE, IAM, networking, CI/CD), and govern ADR compliance while ensuring security and compliance across SOC2/HIPAA.

You’ll mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and promote automation and GitOps adoption. The role demands 7+ years in DevOps/SRE, 4+ years in leadership, strong cloud and Kubernetes

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 4+ years in team leadership, management, or technical lead roles, leading mid-sized teams (5-10 engineers).
• 3+ years foundation in cloud platforms and container-based systems (GCP, Kubernetes).
• 4+ years in Agile/Scrum delivery and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the platform engineering roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, observability).
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and ADR compliance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance (SOC2, HIPAA).
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and runbooks; support SRE practices.
