Job summary

CVS Health in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering / DevOps to lead enterprise-scale cloud platforms. You will blend hands-on engineering with people leadership, guiding multiple workstreams to deliver secure, scalable services.

You will own the platform roadmap, drive GCP-based capabilities, enforce standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security, networking, and applications teams to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

7+ years in DevOps/platform engineering/SRE.
4+ years in team leadership or technical lead roles (5–10 engineers).
3+ years with GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform).
4+ years in Agile/Scrum, incident management, and cross-team coordination.
1+ years AI-driven operations or automation frameworks.
3+ years cloud networking (VPC, routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, hybrid connectivity).
3+ years production environment work and on-call rotation.
3+ years with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Cloud Spanner, Kafka).

Responsibilities

Own and execute the H100 platform engineering roadmap, aligned to enterprise priorities and program milestones.
Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, observability).
Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and ADR compliance.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA).
Partner with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams (security, networking, applications).
Provide clear status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate dependencies across teams and delivery streams.
Act as a technical and delivery point of contact for platform discussions.
