Job summary

VTEX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Storage to design, build, and operate the data backbone of our platform. You will work on SQL/NoSQL storage, search engines, and object storage, delivering self-service tooling for faster product delivery.

You will contribute to high availability and resilience, automate workflows, and collaborate across squads to ship features with confidence. This role emphasizes platform engineering and scalable storage solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior IC with end-to-end delivery of complex infra projects.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, search engines, and object storage.
• Ability to build developer-facing platforms and self-service tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services behind SQL/NoSQL/Search/Object Storage offerings.
• Scale the data layer with sharding, replication, and migrations in multi-tenant environments.
• Build for developer velocity by creating integration libraries and IaC modules.
• Own high availability, performance, and resilience; participate in on-call and define SLOs.
• Eliminate toil by replacing manual requests with automated, self-service solutions.
