Job summary

McAfee is seeking a Senior Application Platform Engineer to join our Frisco, TX team hybridly. You will embed with product engineering groups to enable secure, scalable, self-service deployments, and drive platform evolution.

You will own patching, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC using Terraform/Terragrunt to support 24/7 operations. You will work with Go, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern devops tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining platform security and reliability within an

Qualifications

5-8 years in software/platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE with production code experience.
Experience inside product engineering teams, not just ticket queues.
Proven ability to diagnose and fix production issues end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Embed with product engineering groups and participate in standups, design reviews, and sprint planning.
Migrate services to golden paths and internal developer platform; reduce friction for self-service.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Harness; include quality gates and security scans.
Build infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/Terragrunt for reproducible deployments.
Establish observability standards using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
