Job summary
McAfee seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the AI Center of Excellence infrastructure, overseeing the AI Gateway, MCP factory, and skills catalog. You will partner with InfoSec and Cloud Infrastructure to keep the AI foundation secure, reliable, and scalable, and you will prototype new tools for PoC evaluations.
Based in Frisco, TX, this hybrid role requires onsite presence as needed and the ability to work from a home office when not onsite.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building agents and AI tooling.
- Experience standing up and managing AI/platform infrastructure.
- Experience with API gateways or comparable model-access gateways.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Experience with production cloud platforms.
- Experience designing/rest APIs with authentication patterns.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Own AI CoE infrastructure platforms (AI Gateway, MCP factory).
- Manage model routing across providers and ensure reliability/scalability.
- Build and test POC prototypes and feed the PoC pipeline.
- Collaborate with InfoSec on security reviews and data handling policies.
- Deliver technical demos to senior leadership and stakeholders.
