Job summary

PMAT is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to operationalize AI for next-generation naval platforms. You will design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud environments in AWS GovCloud to support analytics, AI/ML workloads, and autonomous systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement IaC, and ensure DoD cybersecurity standards while delivering mission-critical capabilities for the warfighter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field (Master's preferred) OR equivalent years of relevant experience
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Security+ strongly preferred
• Active TS security clearance required, US citizenship and no dual citizenship

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure within AWS GovCloud environments
• Configure and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Implement IaC solutions using Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
• Support secure data flow across systems with DoD cybersecurity standards and STIGs
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to streamline deployment pipelines and container management
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, networking, and containerized issues
• Partner with AI/ML engineers to deploy analytics platforms
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for operations and compliance
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers
